When Push Comes to Shove

Every man has his limits,
Though varied they may be.
Some know their limit,
Some have yet to see.

When a task is taken,
No matter how big or small,
Each one should know their limit,
And not handle it all.

'Cos when push comes to shove,
We see what we're made off,
Whether we flew or we dove,
Whether we spoke or we were soft.

I hope we find our limit
Before we break down,
Or walk around just wearing
A low and shameful crown.

God gave us friends,
Who are there to aid,
They don't ask for anything,
They don't care if their paid.

All they want to see
Is their friend running and well
And see him opened from
His dark and quiet shell.

When responsibility calls,
And you except the task,
Please remember your friends,
All you need is ask.

They don't want to see you fall,
They don't want to see you small,
They don't want to see you loose it all,
Just reach out your hand and call

They don't want to see you break,
They don't want to see you ache,
They don't want to see you sick,
Just reach out your hand and take.

They don't want to see you fail,
They don't want to see you pail,
They don't want to lose, for real,
Just reach out your hand and sail.

Call for them,
Take their hand,
Sail with them,
Across the pain.
Across the burdens and the rain.

When push comes to shove,
Remember your friends,
Don't hide in a cove,
And take it in 'til the end

A Say for Today

If right-handers use their left brain, doesn't it mean that left-handers are always in the right mind??
