Another CNY over

The Red is fading...the noise quieting...the bright flashes dimming...this can mean one thing:

It's gonna be chap goh mei soon...meaning it's the end of Chinese New Year =/
It's sad that the season of giving--and collecting--for the Chinese is over....
It's sad that college is still on...
It's sad that I'm sad that it's still on xD

Bye
CNY!

It's over; over I tell you; over!

Something is finally over.  It's finally behind me.  But then I'll have to slap myself when I find out it isn't the Finals but only the mid-terms -_-"

But waddya know...half the semester is over.  It went by like it was a few weeks.  I guess I've grown used to the schedule.

We'll I'm glad to say I'm fitting in well, and I've NOT been mischievous at all =) *innocent smile*

I'm making awesome new friends and still keeping in touch with awesome ones.

Take Us Deeper

Im:pact was awesome...as in really awesome....
Wanna know why?

Cos it was awesome la =)

During worship we sang the song: Take Me Deeper.
And during discussions...we really went deeper.

Our discussion had to do with nothing but everything about what Ps. Aaron had shared
The glass wall we kept between each other was no longer tinted.

It was an awkward beginning but an awesome ending...
---------------------

Mid-terms has been awesome...English was...English, and Calculus was calculus la.
I did my best and hopefully my best was enough...
Now it's technically a one week holiday except for Wednesday: the my last two papers.

Guilty 0.2

If there's a limit in feeling guilty then I have not reached it yet.

Had home cell dinner yesterday.  There was karaoke, good food, and wi**...awesome drinks... =)
But about the guilty part...there was something juicy and delicious that I told myself to refrain from...

Hehe...

Well...I guess I'll pay the price for it soon...
----------------------------------------------------------

Yay...IM:PACT is resuming this week...and Mid-terms as well!! Don't I sound excited!! -_-

Guilty

Looks good??

Those are prawns...really awesome fresh juicy prawns...and I feel very bad because I ate two pieces.  I know, two pieces doesn't sound like a lot but...
What if the prawns was this big?  That's my hand.

On top of that I've been eating prawn crackers, and had butter prawns the day before.  I feel guilty now.

One plate of sin >=}

Anyways...I think I just contributed to the death of a shark =/
There was this...you know...awesome soup...and it tasted good...and I saw meat that looked like a fin...and Oh man...it was too late.
Tahun Baru Cina so far has been awesome...didn't have tons of houses to visit like last year, but that also means less ang pao.

-----------------------------------------
My results for my calculus quiz were given today and I'm not proud at all...
Out of the 50 points, I got only 12.
The worst part was that I knew how to do most of them...but had careless mistakes.
Now I got to put in more work to get a good score at the mid-terms next week.

Awesome Conversations

Click This for an awesome conversation Aicyla, Divad, and I had at church...
One part Aicyla forgot to mention was that I literally bended down to laugh...I mean Fish Ball Curry Mee? Aicyla can walk even though she is lame xD

Anyways...the first day of the new year was pretty upsetting monetarily wise =/
But I'm happy that I don't have to wake up early tomorrow to drag my feet to college =)

It's the end of 'chor yat' and tomorrow is a new adventure.

Happy Collecting and Happy Tigering tomorrow ;)

Flat Tire 2 Church

Want to know something totally awesome that happened today??

Okay...my family minus my sister were on our way to church, when my mom said, "We better pump our tires soon."  Five minutes later, we heard 'chg' 'chg' 'chg'.   Guess what was that?

A flat tire -_-"

It was sooo sweat...so we quickly changed the tire and arrived at church half-an-hour late.

----------------------------------------------------

And another thing:

A HAPPY LOVING CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!

Why loving? Cause it's valentine's day as well xD
Have fun eating one meal a day, harvesting necessary pimples, collecting ang-pows, and visiting your family.

Percy Jackson

I never read the book, but I heard it was a good book.  So when I went to watch it yesterday, I was disappointed.  The beginning was nice when Zeus and Poseidon met, but they could have had more 'OMPH'

The storyline was quite good--at the beginning, but it got predictable later on.  I expected the movie to be about Percy and his friend's search for the lightning thief but in the end, it was their search for--of all things--pearls.

The movie was disappointing, and it was only the CGI that made up for the weak plot.  There were too many holes in the movie...if you watch it, at the end try asking things that could happen and you would find out that a lot of the 'rules' were broken.

CNY

It's that time of the year!
It's the season of red packets,
The lion dancers, fire crackers,
And fireworks like rockets!

It's the time for collecting
For the children and so,
And the time for giving
For the adults and old.

It's the time where
Only one meal is taken,
That lasts from morning 'til night,
We'll have more than can be eaten!!

It's time to visit
Both relative and friend
And to do just that we'll travel
Up until the day's end.

It's the time of CNY;
The time of prosperity;
It's the time for happiness;
And a time for charity!

Aren't We Courteous?

After my 'patriotic' post about how we, as Malaysians, should be ashamed of ourselves, I'm feeling a little bit better.  In the past few days since the post, I have witnessed both 'chivalrous' acts done by us.  Both had to do with our decision to give up a seat to one who needs it more.  One case was on the bus, when someone gave up his seat for a pregnant lady.  The other was the same case but in the LRT.

Aren't we courteous?  I was reminded of the sign above the seats on the LRT, and I'm now a bit more proud of calling myself Malaysian.

Anyways...it's been an awesome week.  Had three quizzes so far and two assignments to pass up...

The Road to College

This is my pretty much average day on the way to college...

From my house to the LRT is okay, but when I reach Bangsar...

It's not very clear...that's because it's 7am...
All these people are waiting in line for...

This bus...and so am I.  The line actually continues behind me.
This isn't the worst part...the worst part is that all those people in front and behind of me 'manage' to squeeze into the bus...and the outcome:

Tuna Sand-witches

The sign on the bus says 30 seated 35 standing, but in the end it is 30 seated, 70 standing.
The bus gets less crowded after a few stops...

So here is the average beginning of my weekdays...this is why I wake up earlier than I should.
Even if I can drive, I would still use this way...it's less troublesome.

One more thing...this bus passes through a school on the way to the LRT and one time I 'sadly' was in the bus  when school just ended.  All the (can I say children?) school people rushed into the bus as if the bus was the Ark and it started to rain...and worse of all, they were like the animals in the ark.  They shouted and spat around the bus...I mean don't these people have culture?

Zzzzzzzz

And just now

Never There

Why do I have this feeling of incompleteness?

I know that I have done a lot.
I know that I have fulfilled my promises.
I know that I have been there when I was needed.

But why do I still feel like I'm never there?
It's like I see the door to success and I'm running towards it, but the closer I get to the door, the further it seems to get.  Why can't I feel satisfied with the things I've done?  Why can't I feel complete?

I feel like I'm there but never there.
Fulfilled yet not satisfied.
Good but never the best.

I feel...like I'm just
              Average.
              Stuck in Limbo
              Lukewarm
              Never there.

It's this awful feeling that has kept me pushing and exerting myself...I may look confident, but that's because I've told myself that I will look confident...that I will exceed people's expectations...that I will not fell in front of them and disgrace myself.

It's like I'm reaching for the sky but the sky will always be the limit....
I'm running to the horizon, but I'll never reach it...

Lord, please fill this gap in my life.  Let me fill complete.  Help me to reach the horizons...
Lead me, guide me, show me your path.

Malaysian Culture??

Just now I was in the car, looking out the window when I saw someone opened his car door to throw a sweet wrapper on the road.  That reminded me of the country I lived in.

I don't mean to bad-talk Malaysia.  Malaysia is an awesome country.  It's a country that has everything anyone could ask for, but it is people like that wrapper dude who gives us a bad name.

How can we be One Malaysia unless we agree on something?
How can we be One Malaysia until we actually cared about this country?
How can we be One Malaysia unless we realize that it's us that makes the country?

We are Malaysian Citizens for crying out loud!! This is our country!!  This is our responsibility!!  Our right!!
When people like you do something in or out of this country, you are our ambassadors!! People would start stereotyping Malaysians by the way you act.

I know because of our diversity, it is hard to agree on things.
But there can be unity in diversity!

Let us be proud Malaysians and clean up our city, our state; our country.  Let us take up the responsibility as a citizen to care for this country that God has so richly blessed us with.  Let us stand our ground and change this country one step at a time!!

---------------

I don't know why that wrapper dude gave me such a patriotic effect, but BOO him for being a bad Malaysian.

A Say for Today

If right-handers use their left brain, doesn't it mean that left-handers are always in the right mind??
