Tell Me Why-Declan Galbraith

a beautiful song sang by Declan Galbraith

In my dreams, Children sing
A song of love for every boy and girl
The sky is blue, the fields are green
And laughter is the language of the world
Then I wake and all I see is a world full of people in need
Tell me why,(why) does it have to be like this
Tell me why, (why) is there something I have missed
Tell me why, (why) cause I don't understand
When so many need somebody
We don't give a helping hand
Tell me why
Every day, I ask myself
what will I have to do to be a man
Do I have, to stand and fight
To prove to everybody who I am
Is that what my life is for?
To waste in a world full of war
Tell me why, (why) does it have to be like this
Tell me why, (why) is there something I have missed
Tell me why,(why) cause I don't understand
When so many needs somebody
We don't give a helping hand
Tell me why (Tell me why)
Tell me why (Tell me why)
Tell me why (Tell me why)
Just tell me why (why, why, why)
Tell me why, (why) does it have to be like this
Tell me why, (why) is there something I have missed
Tell me why, (why) cause I don't understand
When so many need somebody
We don't give a helping hand
Tell me why (Why why, does the tigers run?)
Tell me why (Why why, do we shoot the gun?)
Tell me why (Why why, do we never learn?)
Can someone tell us why we let the forests burn
(why why do we say we can?) tell me why
(why why is it still the same?) tell me why
(why why do we talk and run?) tell me why
can someone tell us why we let the ocean die
(why why do we always say?) tell me why
(why why do we pass the blame?) tell me why
(why why does it never rain?)
can someone tell us why we cannot just be friends
(why why do we close our eyes?)
(why why do we really lie?)
(why why do we fight for land?)
can someone tell us why cause we don't understand
why why?

Cyclone

i am thankful that God has placed me in a country without any major natural disasters, but that doesn't mean that Malaysia doesn't have its disasters. Just yesterday, according to my syblings, a mini-cyclone hit our home. whatever it was, it sent our roof tiles flying. our neighbor's antenna flew into our onning and a dustbin flew a few blocks away. the worst hit house lost its roof.

i regret not being home to witness it for myself but i thank God that nothing serious really happened.

masks

I look at the mirror
And what do I see?
A thousand faces
Starring back at me.
A thousand different masks
Of each I have worn.
Ever since some years
After I was born.
Most who know me
Only know a mask
Which I have created
To complete a certain task.
Some people know me
As the guy who is cool.
Still others think
That I was always blue.
There are some who think I’m emo
Still others think I’m mean.
But this is just a masquerade
Of what I am within.
I make a new mask
Every time I see
Someone I haven’t met
That wouldn’t like the real me.
But I know in the future.
I wouldn’t be able to hold.
So many different masks
When I am growing old.
Now I begin to feel
Masks dropping to the floor.
It’s slowly breaking down
To reveal the inner core.
So I’ve started introducing
People to the real me,
And throwing away those masks,
Makes me feel so free!
Soon everyone I know
Will truly understand me;
The person behind the mask,
Who is fun and happy.
Slowly my masks are dropping,
Drying and dying away,
And I stop seeing through eyeholes
To view a glorious day.
What more can I say
To all of you out there?
It truly doesn’t matter
Of what you really wear.
I know many of you
Are also wearing masks
Which you have created
To accomplish many tasks.
You may be the though guy,
Or maybe the bully,
Or the apologetic fellow
Who always says, “Sorry?”
There are various reasons
To create a new face.
Like when you go and visit
A new and different place.
But others will find out
That you’ve been living a lie,
Or you might just break down,
And you’d run away to cry.
The conclusions I’m drawing here
Is quite obvious in fact:
There’s no need to live a lie—
To hide behind an act.
Take some time to ask yourself,
“Is this really me?”
And stop this little masquerade
And live your life happily!
-END

if you continue wearing masks, you'll soon suffocate in a web of lies.

A Say for Today

If right-handers use their left brain, doesn't it mean that left-handers are always in the right mind??
