GDOP

It was an awesome event!

Jeff picked us--me, my brother, and my sister--and we went to church to wait for Jeremy Lim. Jeremy does not know how to go to SIB =O We waited for him for fifteen minutes..

When we--finally--got to SIB, we were brieved on how to carry flags properly. I got Cambodia's flag. Tian Xi got a flag which no one could tell where it was from...poor Tian Xi xD

Then we went and makaned at a mamak. Where Jeremy told a lame joke about KFC's tagline.

After we went back to SIB, we got prepared to wave our flags. When it was time, we did our jobs and finished it well.

We went upstairs to sit (I sat between Han Jiang and Tian Xi, who was still looking for his flag). The rest of the event was alright (except of alot of standing and sitting).

After it was over, Jeremy Lim, Jeff, me, and my siblings went to McD to eat. And guess what? McD has free refills--I didn't know that before! Cos I normally order enough to eat and drink.

Now I'm back home and sleepy...ZZZzzz

signing out.

Sleep-over Over

Guess what I did on the sleep-over??

First we played some game with a row of chairs. Then we played mother hen. I was the butt. My group almost won the game, but 'somehow' the lights went out. The people told us to go back to Impact to wait (somehow Impact still had lights), and they 'found' a video there. Apparently one member from each team had been kidnapped =O. The video gave us a hint on how to find them. So, after finding the clues, and being sabotaged often, my team made it to second place.

After all that it was free time. I went outside with Kevin Ng to talk and a few followed. Then we went back into Impact to watch Mall Cop (It was a good movie). After the movie, some of them went to sleep, but not me. One big group played cards, and another, which I was in, just talked.
These two groups stayed up the whole night/morning.

It was fun. Thank you, Kay Aun and your team for putting this thing together.

Yeah! Going to my first ever Impact sleep-over tonight.

Sadly it might be my last as well, as I'll be leaving Impact soon : (

So I hope to enjoy it as much as possible...maybe I won't sleep ^ ^

Going Zzzzz'ing

Invincible

being lucky or just plain 'invincible' sometimes has its downturn.

You see, when I went to Redang for a holiday, I went snorkeling. What 'normally' happens when you stay above water under the hot sun? You get sunburned right? But not me. I would have loved to 'show-off' my burn marks and all but...sigh.

Also in Redang I felt myself getting stung by tons of jellyfish, but when I wanted to check my 'battle-scars', I found none...sad right.

Other then those two occasions, bad things could have happened to me, but, no. I never had to go to the hospital besides when I was a baby. I never been sunburned. I never had any major accidents (except for my umbrella experience).

Even at my birth I was blessed. When I was in my mother's womb, I was growing with a fibroid which was stealing all my nutrients. When I was born, the fibroid was gone, and the only thing bad was that I was mangled.

Then there was that time when I stayed in Seremban when I was around 4 to 6. I was swimming in the baby pool when suddenly I was pulled into the water. It was really a freak accident because I was the only one in the pool at that time. I remember seeing the water pass my eyes; feeling something grab my ankle. I was pulled out soon after by a friend of my parents.

I thank God for blessing me all these years. Giving me life and keeping me safe.

But being so lucky has its disadvantages...no bragging rights.

I am strong, I am invincible,
I am Reuben! xD

Teacher teacher

Soon I'll be a drum teacher in my drum school.

My first real job.

Soon I'll hopefully get enough money to buy a new phone...xD
Or maybe get a date ^ ^

Eh, I'll figure it out when I start working...

My pay isn't bad. I get money for every student per month I teach. This may also be my excuse to get a notebook...xD

Looking Forward.

Facebook

Rah!!

Is there anything wrong with Facebook??
If there is tell me!

At this rate, I'll probably get it when I leave the house! I don't see what's wrong with it...except that it's fun.

I really want it but whether I'll ever get it is another totally different thing...

Feeling like punching something now.

58%!!

I received my bible knowledge results today and guess what? I recieved only 58%! Well I guess I deserved it--I didn't study...hehe. First of all this is my first ever attempt at an exam like that. I didn't know what to expect and I scored nothing I expected. Well at least I wasn't the worst in the class.

The reason I take Bible Study is not because of SPM, but because of knowledge...and other reasons that need not be mentioned xD.

anyways church was awesome--as usual.

my life

poetry is my life. everything i write reflects my feelings and my views.

some may be nonsense but others are deep in it's meaning, still others may be nonsense but has an underlying truth.

when given a pencil and some papers, there is no stopping me...its my easiest form of entertainment whether drawing, writing poetry, or writing stories.

writing is my life.

Isn't It True

A poem I wrote when I could not think of any other topic to write on. This poem speaks of injustice and the lack of peace.

I switch on the TV
Then browse to the news.
It's a sad fact
Of what the world views.
Wars and famine,
Death and tears,
Disasters and madness,
People full of fears.

Then I realized
That these need not be.
The homeless can be saved;
The children happy.
Isn't it true
That many of these sadness
Can be taken away
By little acts of kindness?

Isn't it true
That wars rage on,
And we loose friends,
mothers, a son?
So I believe
Wars need not be an option.
I am very sure
There is a peaceful solution.

Isn't it true
We have plenty to share,
Not like those in Africa
Who live with so little and bare?
So I believe
We can start giving.
Food to the homeless;
Joy to the living.

Whenever you see
People in need,
Make a mental note
To perform a good deed.
Not because people are looking
Or because you want something back,
But because you feel for them,
The people whom everything lack.

Famous Sayings

recently i've had so much free time to take all these famous sayings and poke fun at them.

If all roads lead to China, then what happened to dead ends?

If the root of all evil is the love of money, then why do we say that money does not grow on trees?

If the grass is always greener on the other side, find out what fertilizer your neighbor uses.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, so he'll send his nurse to pick up the bill.

More is in the making...

Tired but Thinking

After karate class, I was so tired...yet I still could find time to write xD.

While walking back home from the LRT station, I had a little debate with my sis and bro.  The topic: Infinity, Eternity, The End...whatever you want to call it.  It made me pour out my views on this topic and here are some points which I think can cause some thinking...

Okay...first of all: Can anyone claim to understand infinity? You see, as far as I know, infinity means that everything--yet nothing--happens in an instant. Like you can see Creation and the Apocolyspe all in one moment.

Other than that, there is the question that we are 'free beings' meaning we are independant in making our own decisions...right? So God must have like a zillion plus possible timeline of this planet.  Get this straight, I'm not doubting the existence of an omnipotent God or anything but theorizing around that issue.

Let's say as the song 'Imagine' says, imagine there is no Heaven or Hell nothing to live for. Let's say Christianity was wrong that God did not exist (Theorizing here), can anyone accept that if we die, we just disappear? Well I can't. I can't believe in anything that says that we have only one short life--a drop in the ocean.

I wrote all those things up there to pose some thought-provoking questions. But as the Bible says: have the faith of a child.

It's not wrong to question all these things, but as long as you are 'strong in the faith' and you know that one day you will join Jesus in paradise, there is nothing evil about thinking through this. After all soon you will to comprehend infinity, why not theorize.

I know that my mind will never understand eternity, but because I know I will never understand it, my mind struggles to understand it...get it? I know; I think too much.

Well hope you got something to keep you up at night...xD

The Angel

Here's a poem for a special someone I wrote yesterday:

I lay on my bed,
And see a vision
Of a beautiful lady
Beyond my description.

She had an elegant face
And the voice of choirs.
And a form that could
Fulfill all man's desires.

Then I realized something
That I was only dreaming,
For when I opened my eyes,
She began disappearing.

I reached for her hand
Before she could fade,
And at that position,
For a long time I stayed.

Was she an Angel
Or maybe a dream?
She's the most perfect thing
That I've ever seen.

Then I realized
That I've met her before.
We had once said goodbye,
Before she left the door.

Where have I met her
In church or in school?
When I was walking home,
Or when I acted a fool?

Wherever it was,
I knew just what to do:
I had to see her again.
If only I had a clue.

I rummaged through my photos
Everyone of my life,
And there I saw the Angel,
And I forgot my strife.

There the Angel lay,
In the midst of a crowd,
But her face caught my eye,
As though she was loud.

And there I spotted myself,
But not as quickly.
I was standing far from her,
We looked very happy.

I recognized the stage,
And where that place was.
I will see her again,
All hope was not lost!

I waited for that Sunday
When the church would gather,
And I waited for her to show,
Then my life became grander.

For there the Angel stood,
Right before me, smiling
I recognized her then.
Her name is ...............(why should I tell you? xD)

It's so hot!!

It's not like yesterday when I prayed that it won't rain. Now I pray that it will rain. I don't think I have seen a serious storm for a long time, only an occasional drizzle here and then. In other words: It's so HOT!! Even a person like me is complaining of the heat cos it's stealing my heat...xD

Other than that...

Can't wait for Saturday to come.

I would like to close with this phrase i read from somewhere: Hard work never really killed anyone, but why test it...xD

2day

i'm soooooooooooo sleepy!!!

during drum calss 2day i almost fell asleep on the drums...good thing my teacher didn't see...hehe.

In the end i reached home with only a few drops on me...God is Good!! After going home i tried to sleep but i just could not...so frustrating!!

the adventure of mouse. ep. 2

Hunting.

Now Mouse became bored resting and not moving in the window. He knew that if he did not do something fast, he could be blocked by the Screensaver.

So Mouse decided to start hunting for the legendary Firefox, the guardian of the Firewall. To begin he became an Internet Explorer in the Safari.

He soon came to a door which he could not push open the door. So he Shifted his weight abit and Entered the door. Now he came across valley and the only way he could cross it was to walk across a narrow Space Bar. When he crossed the bar, he heard noises from where he just was and saw a dozen Arrows coming towards him. Then he realised that he was trapped and there was no place to Escape. He quickly searched the wall with his hands and heard a Click--he had found an Alternate Escape. He went out of Google Earth after searching in vain for the Firefox.

What an adventure...!!! Mouse taught to himself.

the adventure of mouse. ep. 1

The Program.

Once upon a time a genius by the name of Gates invented Windows that could observe Apples. So this is where our story begins...because the Windows always observed the Apples, they did not notice the Mouse which entered the Windows using a Keyboard.

This is the adventure of Mouse.

The adventure of something small in the smallest universe.

2 many things 2 do

i have technically written too much stuff on paper and am lazy to type it now. So i will slowly and slowly and slowly take my time, but here are a few poems i'm looking forward to type soon. They are all written by me and they are entitled: Do You Feel the Same?, Isn't It True?, A Difference, There's Something in Your Eye, Do I Let You Know?, For You, Friends, Is This Me?, Reserved, Crossroads, If I were to Die Today, Her, D.C.sions, and A Hero.

The above titles are all the poems I have written this year so far, and does not include previous years. So be patient and wait for more to come.

Enjoy the present, but prepare for the future.

Ehud (Judges 3:12-30)

here's my first attempt at a story-telling poem. This poem is based on the story of Ehud, a judge of Israel.

Then again they turned from the Lord,
And they did evil in God's sight.
Just who are they?
They are the Israelites.

Even the miracles they had seen
Did not help them turn.
Soon after Othniel's death,
They turned without a reason.

So God sent Eglon,
The king of the Moabites,
Who gathered more troops,
The Ammorites and Amalekites.

So Eglon conquered Israel,
And oppressed them eighteen years.
He forced them to work,
And filled them with fears.

Then the Israelites cried out to God
To deliver them from Eglon.
So God decided to save His people,
And sent His chosen one.

God sent a deliverer to Israel--
A man who everything could.
He sent the son of Gera, a Benjamite,
A left-handed man named Ehud.

Ehud made a two-sided dagger,
A meter and a half long it was.
He fastened it on his right hip,
The blade, the victory's source.

Israel then sent a present,
And Ehud as the gift-bearer.
Little did Eglon know,
That Ehud would be the deliverer.

When Ehud came with the gifts,
Guards only checked his left hip.
Little did they know,
On his right hip, it was keep.

Now Eglon was a fat man,
A very fat one for real.
He trusted too many people,
This became his Achilles' heel.

As Ehud entered Eglon's court,
Eglon sent his men and the presents away.
Because Ehud had said,
That he had something important to say.

Ehud approached the king and said,
"I have a secret message from God to thee."
The king aorse to listen,
And Ehud thrusted his blade into his belly.

After this Ehud escaped.
He locked all the doors behind him,
And the servants didn't open the doors,
For Eglon was sleeping, it would seem.

So Ehud escaped and travelled to Seirah.
Then he blew a trumpet at Ephraim
To call the people to battle,
So they could, thier land, reclaim.

Ehud led the Israelites down the hills.
He said to them, "Follow me!
For God has given us victory,
Over the Moabites, our enemy!"

So they followed Ehud down,
And captured a place near the Jordan,
Where the Moabites were bound to cross.
There, ten thousands Moabites were fallen.

Israel was saved by Ehud,
And had peace for eighteen years,
And the people returned to God,
Who rescued them from their fears.
-END

One of the reasons for me to choose to write on Ehud was the fact that he was a left-hander--like me! Other than that i believe he was used greatly used by God.

A Heated Soul

Something I wrote while I was angry at...just about everything.

Many a times when life is down,
And rage creeps in like an avenging hound.
When you feel like punching the wal,
When you're enraged straight from the core,
You don't think of what you do,
But just lash out like a complete fool.

The heated soul
Fills the body whole
With a raging tempest out of control!

You hurt the people who care for you;
You scold and reprimand without an issue.
You are filled with rage beyong your conrtrol,
And the hatred spreads and sets in your soul.

So you shut the world away,
And in your room you stay,
To rant and rant like no one's business,
And build a thick wall of stubborness.

The heated soul
Fills the body whole
With a raging tempest out of control!

Anger is a problem
That sets steady and firm,
Within the soul at first,
Just before it bursts.

What end will it cost
Except that you'll be lost,
Within the fiery flames?
Unless it is your aim
to burn up inside
And freeze up outside?

people

a random rhyme i made when i was bored...

people are like watermelons,
Hard outside and soft inside,
They show no outward emotions.
They make a crust outside to hide.

xD

The Eye of the Storm

a more free styled poem reflecting peace in a time of turmoil.

When the sky darkens,
And the birds take to their nests.
When the flashes shout,
And the heavens take a test.
When clouds gather
to mourn as a whole,
And they'll gather and gather
And continue to grow.

People will run,
In fear and terror,
From this threatening,
Endangering, feat of horror.

The sky cries;
The lightning fries!
The thunder begin their chant.
The moon runs,
And where is the sun?
Have the stars gone for a hunt?

Is there peace?
Is there release?
Will the madness ever cease?

From seconds to minutes to hours,
Will the skies ever dry?
Hear the people in irritation;
Hear the sadness and the sigh.

Where is the shelter,
From this God-forsaken storm?
Is there relief,
From this sky-hung massless form?

Is there peace?
Is there release?
Will the madness ever cease?

Wait. There is peace!
In this massless form.
It is here,
In the eye of the storm!

The winds have weaken,
The thunder softens,
And the lightning stops for once.
Can you believe,
There is relief
For children - daughters and sons?

Shelter is found in the midst of turmoil.
Peace is reborn!
Nothing moves, not grain nor soil.
Relief like the morning's dawn.

Hope Locked Inside

here's another original song/poem. this one talks about the christian who does not spread the truth about Jesus to the world. it is about the christian who locks the saviour inside and keeps Him there.

Verse 1:
There is hope for the world
To save all mankind
We know this hope
As Jesus devine.
He left His throne
And came down to us.
So that we'll receive
The Father's love.

Chorus:
But the hope that He gave
Has been pushed aside
And the love that He gave
Has been locked up inside
The people that love Him
Has covered the truth
From the ones who needed it most!

Verse 2:
Who needs the doctor
The well or the sick?
Who needs the saviour
The saved or unsaved?
For he gave His life
So that all will live
All who'll repent
And turn a new leave.

Add (speaking):
Jesus said, "Go ye into all the earth and preach the good news."
But what have we, his people, done? Have we reached out?
Have we walked in the truth? have we preached the good news?

Bridge:
What is the point
Of keeping Him in
And out of this world?
'Cause He gave his life
For all who'll believe
As said in His word.
So bring back the hope
That he brought to this world
As said in His word.

The Road to Rejection

here is a song/poem i wrote recently entitled "The Road to Rejection". it speaks about about how a christian goes through a time of backsliding enjoy!

verse 1:
He is going on a journey
Away from all challenges.
Truting his life
To luck and chances.
Turning his back
On the things he believed in
Breaking down within.

chorus:
Where is this road leading to--
This wide and smooth road?
Where is he going?
What is she doing?
On this road to rejection!

verse 2:
She is going through the valleys
Over the mountains and the seas,
But she gave up half the way.
And turned around with ease.
Now she goes on with no purpose,
No meaning to live;
Nothing to give.

Bridge 1:
Where are their lives going?
Not reaping or sowing.
Their backs are turned away
And go further each day.
From the one
Who gave his only son.

Bridge 2:
People, return to Jesus,
All the poor, rich, or famous.
Accept Him once more--
On the wings of eagles soar.
Let Him be your guide again--
The name above every name!!

A Say for Today

If right-handers use their left brain, doesn't it mean that left-handers are always in the right mind??
