Disappointment

Disappointed with myself...
Disappointed with my results...
Disappointed with everything...

I should be happy but I'm not...the holiday mood is gone =/
I should be excited with my results, but I'm not...one subject spoiled it all...
I should be ecstatic about next semester, but I'm not...because that means a repeat...

Even though I get a high distinction it still does not cover up the fail that I had.  Even though I didn't JUST pass my OTHER subjects it still does not cover up THAT ONE FAIL!!!!

Why!??

I should be celebrating my HIGH DISTINCTION instead of being angry over that ONE fail!!!

So it is a truth that ONE mistake takes over a thousand good things...

sigh...
I should be blogging about my new haircut...instead I'm blogging about my disappointment...

Looks like I'm going to switch to arts...but I would still prefer to take calculus

My 1st sem results are:
English: High distinction
Study Skills: Distinction
Computing: Credit
Calculus...eh =/

Debates

Debates are:

Interesting yet boring
Fun but annoying
Good yet bad
Makes you laugh or sad.

Some have a way to make you think,
But some really seriously stink.
Some sound robotic at first,
But that is not at all the worst!
Some flow with enthusiasm,
Yet others makes you fall into a deep wide chasm.
The debates are good and bad,
Whether that, when it ends, you're glad.

Whether the motion is interesting or not,
Whether they slept or whether they fought,
Sometimes you just can't help it at all,
But to close your eyes and into sleep fall.

Honorable chairperson and accurate time-keeper,
Worthy opponents and wise adjudicators,
And last but not least, members of the floor,
I will now make your time a bore!

Though it sounds as if I hate them,
Debates are quite an entertainment,
It depends whether you listen to the best,
And whether you pay attention to the rest.
-END

Don't say I'm lifeless, this only took 15minutes =D

Earthling

The Story

He feels everything that touches his skin.—the joy and the pain.  He hears the cries and the laughter.  He sees the tears and the smiles.  Everything that happens within him, he is aware.  Nothing goes unnoticed.  He cries when they cry, yet laughs when they laugh.  Tears flow down his eyes as he feels their pain.  He knows no matter what they do now, it is too late, and he will eventually die, yet he continues to give them shelter, to give them warmth.

He is their only hope.  He protects them from out-of-the-world threats.  His brethren have accused him of being too soft.  All of them had already destroyed their own.  Only he continues to love them even though they kill him.  He tells them this. “They were given to me as a gift from our father as my responsibility.  Why would I want to destroy the gifts of my father? Why would I want to tell him that I am not responsible for the task?” But they will reply, “Brother, the very gift your father has given to you is killing you.  Even now you cough in our presence!  Maybe our father had made a mistake? Maybe you were not yet as prepared to receive this gift as he had thought? Brother, heed our plea! They do not care about you! They treat you as we would treat a dwarf from the far realm! Though you hold them dear, they reject you.  The things they do to you—their curses and abuse—will only destroy you.  You are one of the great ones. Why let the weak destroy the strong?”

Every time they met, he would be pleaded to reject them. Still he remained strong in his decision.  All his other brothers had already abandoned their gifts from their father.  His youngest brother, threw them to the sun, the second youngest poisoned them, his oldest brother froze them as did the second and third oldest, while the forth oldest and the fifth destroyed them with disease.  Only the sixth oldest managed to hold on to his gift longer but soon also gave them up to plague.  Only the seventh son keeps his gift.  But the pressure from his brothers is killing him.  He understands their concern.  He knows very well whatever they do now will not make it any better…it can only get worst.

No matter how many times they have tried to save him, their wars had only made it worst.  Their inventions were meant to make things better, but for every good creation they came up with, they made ten more that were bad.  Their thirst for war was too much for him to handle, yet he continues to shelter them.  He has the power over their lives, and they do not care.  All they say about is that if he dies, they will go to his older brother, and he would accept them.  His cries are felt by them, but they do not care—he holds back his shelter to let them feel the burning of the sun, but they still ignore him.  He will die.

The Revelation

He is the Earth and his brothers, the planets.  His people and destroyers are us…the humans.  God gave us this planet to live in. He gave us the most suitable place to live in, yet we destroy it.  He gave us examples of other planets.  Planets like Venus which is full of poison…like Mercury which is too near the sun, or Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto which are too far away.  God gave us a perfect world with only one error…mankind.  We were meant to take only what that needed to be taken and give back everything else, but what we are doing is just taking.

Imagine if the Earth really had a conscience.  Imagine if you are the Earth, wouldn’t you like to listen to your ‘brothers’ and let them go? Imagine you are the Earth, and every human being was a needle stuck into your skin.  Now wouldn’t you want to give them up more?

God gave us this Earth this place for us to live in…for us to take care of…why can’t we just do that? Give more than you take; do more than you should.  We need to save our Earth and every small step that we take puts us closer to a healthier Earth.

The Bigger Man

Ever had people tell you that you are not good enough? That you don't have enough skill? That your training is inadequate?

Well to you...THEY ARE WRONG!

I am sure people brag all about the things they have done...about the great accomplishments they've done.

Well to you...

Ever heard that saying that there will always be a bigger man?

Well to you who insult me...pull me down...make me think I'm not good enough, I tell you this!

I WILL BE YOUR BIGGER MAN!!

I don't care what you are now...I will take all your insults; they will make me stronger, but I will not take them to heart.  Whatever you tell me shall be ignored. None of your small talk shall reach my ears for I AM your bigger man.
You can be the most skilled monkey on earth but even the monkey meets his match...
I may not be that bigger man now or not in a long time, but believe me when I climb up that mountain of success, you will be watching.  When I make it bigger, you will be there.
You will see my face a scowl with bitterness because you remember your words against me.

Sure you can be good now, but I will be better. When you are better, I will be the best.

Wait and see...come on; insult me now.  Your insults only make me stronger...more determined.  Come on; continue to find me inadequate.  This will only make my point stronger.

To those who did not read my FB message:

They say that there will always be a bigger man...well I tell you this: I will be that bigger man's bigger man!!

Don't let people tell you you are not good enough.  Don't tell other people they are not good enough either.

Always encourage lest ye become the smaller man.

Carls Jn. and Clash of the Titans

Wow!!! Fourteen weeks of lectures and studying is finally over!

So after the two dreaded exams...the time to party came!!

We wasted so much time at first trying to decide where to go...it was between Tropicana City, One Utama, and Midvalley Megamall...after three hours after the last paper we finally headed to Midvalley.
Went with Sez Kien, Shi An Yiling, Keong, Desmond, Rishen, Hian Woon and Anuar.

Shi An, Yilin, Anuar, Hian Woon, Rishen, and I went to Carls Jn. to eat!

This is the only place where I would order a small meal... =D
In the end, I ended up eating up everyone else's fries.

Speaking of fries:

Shi An calls it flies on fries =D
Can't see it?  Look closer at the fries pack...

Huge right?

Anyways...
Later Rishen, Anuar, and I met up with Juandy and Harmika Jaya and we went to watch Clash of the Titans...in 3D =D

It was my first ever movie in 3D but I was disappointed =/

Baaaaatttt...

The glasses are awesome xD

anyways...the plot could not be helped since it IS a remake of an old movie...
The animation was awesome as I expected...but I guess the movie was never meant to be viewed in 3D...
I love the scorpion fight, and the kraken scene...

Now to kill the plot...
They said that Zeus created people.
They also said that the gods' immortality depended on the people.
So how can the gods exist before mankind if they survived on people? And if they survived on people, how could Zeus create them?

Now you know why no one worship the Greek gods anymore...they contradict themselves.

In overall terms...the movie is an entertaining, all-action, fast-moving show.  Just go there not expecting too much...

(Hmmmm...just noticed this will be my first post with pics since January xD)

DUMC-Struck

Today was the first day of finals =O

And...............it went rather well...I'm not sure whether I can give my lecturer the High Distinction she's expecting from me, but I'm sure I have at least a credit or something...
The day started when Eirene -.- woke me up at 7:59am because she thought I would be attending the debate challenge...and after that I couldn't sleep =.= all Eirene's fault!!

So because I couldn't sleep..I went on Facebook xD

I went to HELP at about 10:00 cos I thought the exam was at 11:00, but it was at 11:30 -.-
Anyways at least I had my Subway =)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you know an average service in DUMC is one thousand people o_o?

When I went just know...I was impressed by the numbers...

Their AV system was breathtakingly high tech...and everything was super professional

Now thinking about it...DUMC wasn't really that welcoming.  Well when they ask the first time visitors to stand, sure, I was flooded with the handshakes, but after that, nothing was done...no one talked to me when I was in their visitor's lounge....

I guess it didn't really impressed me...sigh
---------------------------

In other news =D, Can't wait for super sundae @ pjefc xD

A Say for Today

If right-handers use their left brain, doesn't it mean that left-handers are always in the right mind??
