Yes or No?

I don't seem to understand you!
First you treat me as a friend,
Then you completely ignore me!
We talk only when there's no one around,
But when others come by, I disappear.
I know you probably think I'm wierd
And I don't care,
Just talk to me,
Tell me I exist!

I get nervous near you,
And you probably know that.
You know that you make me uncomfortable,
Yet happy at the same time.
Am I the only one feeling like this,
I pray not!
I pray that you too have this awkward feeling.
This feeling I feel in your presence,
Which makes my uncomfortable,
Yet at home at the same time.

Is it a yes or a no?
I can't seem to understand you,
At first you seem to enjoy my company
And shun me away another time.
Why can't I just ignore you too?
Why can't I just leave us as friends?
I want to ask you how you feel for me,
Yet I fear the chance that you'll say no,
And reject me.
I fear that after that we won't see each other as friends anymore
That you'll ignore me more.

Are you playing hard to get?
Or are you completely ignorant of my feelings for you?
Maybe I've not shown you that I care?
Or I've shown you how weird I can be,
But I'm weird because I feel weird with you
I'm scared that if I act so tough and proud,
That you'll think of me as a snob.
I'm scared that if I act quiet, you'll completely ignore me
(And that is what I fear the most)
I'm scared that if I act too smart,
You'll think that I'm out of your league,
But in truth, I am out of your league.

Now I pour my emotions out here,
Without a guarantee that you'll ever read it.
I want to share my world with you,
Yet I'm afraid that our paths will not merge,
That we'll drift apart.

Every life is a river,
Every couple is a merged stream,
Every breakup is a fork in the river,
And every successful relationship leads to the sea.

Please take my hand when I get the guts to ask you,
Please say yes instead of no
Let's live not as two but one.

Distinction!!!

Oh yeah...it was also during our lunch that Jim Lee, my drum teacher, sms'ed me. Here is our conversation:

Jim: Ops, ur result is out

Me: Bad anot?

Jim: Bad. Fail.... With distinction...

Distinction? Or fail

Jim: 85 marks, great!! Distinction!! Congratulation!

Me: Yay! Thx 4 teaching me

Today is the best day of the year! I had fun with my friends and found out I didn't fail my exam!! I really hope he wasn't joking. I'm going to collect my results soon and when I have my results in black and white, I'm gonna celebrate!

Successful Outing!

So happy that our form's third ever outing was a total success!!  Our first outing was a fail because only guys made it...and where's the fun in that =).  The second outing was at Eirene's house.  It was quite successful, but still wasn't as fun.  Today's outing was awesome!

We went to Tropicana City to catch lunch, watch a movie, and hang out at Jeff's.  Eight people made it.  It was  David, Daniel, Me, Zhiling, Eirene, Jane, Jeff, and DEL, but DEL only joined us for lunch.

I was the first to arrive at 11:45, and started waking about aimlessly at the 1st floor.  Then I saw the twins downstairs.  I called them up and we waited outside Borders for the latecomers xD.  I called Eirene and she came next.  We later went to the Ground Floor Drop-off Point to pick Zhiling up.  We then went to buy our tickets.  I wanted to watch New Moon but the twins were not allowed to so we settled to A Christmas Carol.

After we bought the tickets for the three o'clock show, we proceeded to Restaurant Food and Tea.  While ordering, Zhiling brought out that we should go dutch.  Then we had a long debate about what 'going dutch' meant.  I thought it meant the girl paid, Zhiling said it meant the bill is split, and Eirene said it meant the individual pays for the food he/she orders later on we googled it and Eirene was correct.  It was during this time that Jeff and DEL arrived. Then Jane called       Eirene saying that she was at LG.  I thought she was at LG as in the Life's Good shop, but it was the Lower Ground.  I went with David to get Jane.  When the three of us arrived back at Food and Tea, Zhiling and the rest still had not finished ordering...sigh.  After we finally had our food, David and I sneaked out to pay the bill...aren't we gentlemen xD.  I won't say how much it cost me in case any of the girls are reading this.

Later on we went to Borders and instead of reading, we ended up having a photo shoot with Zhiling's camera.  I want those pics! At 2:30 we went back to the cinema to get popcorn before the movie started.  I tried to pay for the popcorn with Daniel but Zhiling didn't want that and lined up with us, while Eirene and DEL, who went off before the movie started, went to the arcade.  When everything was bought we went to watch the movie.

It was a well-known classic so I knew the plot already.  It was good because it was Jim Carrey.  There was enough some humor and some scary parts.  I remember that at the time of the ghost of Christmas future, Zhiling jerked because the ghost suddenly appeared...haha.

After the movie, Zhiling went back followed by David and Daniel leaving me, Jane, Eirene, and Jeff.  It was raining so we couldn't go to Jeff's place yet.

When it stopped raining, we went to Jeff's place and talked until 7:00.  After that, Jane needed to go back to Tropicana City to go home.  I walked with Eirene and Jane until the guardhouse where I said bye to Eirene.  I walked with Jane all the way to Tropicana City until she went to her car.  I then walked to SS2 where my parents picked me up to shop and eat dinner.  I was so close to buying a new pair of shoes, but there was no size =(.

It was an awesome day!!

Boomerang Express...the last station

I'm gonna miss those kids...

Yesterday was the closing night of the Boomerang Express in my church.  I believe it was fun for everyone--'kiddaroos', parents, and the outback guys.  I miss them already.  I woke up at 7:00am today and thought I was late for VBS.  Though it was a tiresome event, it was worth it.  It was worth it waking up at 6:30-6:45am for the whole week.  It was worth it dancing with the kids and teaching them the moves to praise God with.  And last of all, it was worth it to see the joy in the faces of the kids.

I want to help out next year as well if my schedule permits.  I can't wait to meet them again!!

Say Yes to VBS

VBS was the Awesome!!! No pics though...eh, will get some from Jeff.

It's so sad that it's ending tomorrow , but I had the time of my life helping the kids.  Now after four days, I must say I'm gonna miss it.

I was so excited that I woke up at 6:30 for the last two days (without my alarm mind you).  Thank You Opera House peoples: Sue Lee, Zhiling, James, Michele, Jasmine, Gloria, Grace, and Priscilla for being with me.  Thank You Mom, Ewe Jin, Samuel Lim (Jia Hong), and Ps. Aaron and sons for fetching me throughout the week.

In other news , The weather has been awesomely HOT.  Maybe the VBS people prayed to hard for it to not rain, but it's so hot that my toilet felt like a sauna!

All Aboard!

2012: We Were Warned

Watched 2012 today...

It was an awesome show! The graphics are good and the storyline was awesome.  But I must say, it was quite predictable.

I loved it because it portrayed humanity as humanity.  From the simple acts of compassion to the stone-hearted decisions that could destroy the world, this movie showed what could happen if we allow circumstance to rule us.

This movie wasn't as big as a hit as the director's last movie--The Day After Tomorrow--but I believe that this is a must watch especially in the surround sound of a cinema.

I remember when The Day After Tomorrow came out--how the papers published so many articles saying that the end will come soon, how I so naively believed everything that the newspapers published, and how they scared the world out of me.

The director must have either a passion for the end of the world, a love to show how humans will behave in the worst of circumstances, or both.

But will the world end in 2012?  Here's something to think about: Because we predict the world will end in 2012, it wouldn't cause Jesus said that it would come at an unexpected hour.  But if we believe in this than we wouldn't expect the end to occur in 2012, but then that just makes it possible for 2012 to be the end.

Confusing? Good! xD

The movie is satisfaction guaranteed.  Forget about the negative remarks it got.

Update: Chapters Complete

Now here's a list of the things I still need to accomplish by the end of this year.

  1. Finish all my work (round 7/6 more books to go).
  2. Perform in Oh Holy Night Musical
  3. Plan Impact Camp: Back to Basics (3 more weeks!!)
  4. Help in Kairos' Awards Ceremony

Not So Holy Night

Ever since my SATs and Drum Exam a few of my priorities has changed.   One such happening is my performance in the Oh Holy Night Musical.  I have decided to pull out of this because of personal issues.

Ever since I heard about it, I thought it would end in failure.  Largely due to the advertising tag-line--The Greatest Christmas Musical.  I had a problem with it from its beginning and now my hunch has been proven true.  So I have given this production up and hopefully this will help me finish up my work (6 more books).

Other than that, VBS's Boomerang Express starts this Monday!  I'll be helping out in the 'Opera House'.  I hope I can remember my moves and the lyrics of the songs.  I helped out with the props yesterday by cutting the doors for the shacks and painting the red wheels and front of the train.  I believe all the people--the kids AND the helpers will have fun on the Boomerang Express in Station PJEFC xD.

All Aboard!

Rhythmic Roots and Unforgettable

Yesterday...was looooooooooooong.

I woke up because my brother set his alarm at 6:30am. I managed to sleep back after that besides a few interruptions by again my brother going in and out of the room. My mom woke me up later at 7:30am to go to Church.

At Church, Ps. Soon Hock preached on the prophet Zechariah and his call for repentance. Later I went to register Amanda for Impact Camp, then went to Bible Knowledge Class for the final exam.
The exam was meant to last for two and a half hours but I think I took only one and a half hours. Zhi Ling was the first to leave followed by me then by David. I think the rest took all the time they had. It was quite a hard exam but I think I did well, for only studying for half an hour on Saturday and a little on Sunday.

After lunch, I went with my sister and brother to watch the Young KL Singers perform Rhythmic Roots in the new Actors Studio at Lot10. We took the LRT to KL Sentral than the Monorail to Bukit Bintang. It was an awesome show and I kind of regret not taking part in this production. After that a bunch of us ventured to Sungai Wang to 'lepak'. I took my brother to McD to have a drink. We wasted more time there as it was still to early to go to KLCC to watch Unforgettable a show in the Plenary Hall.

When we did decide to go to KLCC, we took the Monorail back to KL Sentral, but before we could go to take the LRT my parents called us to wait at YMCA so they could pick us up to go KLCC together.

When we reached there we ate dinner in KFC then proceeded to the show. The orchestra was awesome. The guest violinist was fast-fingered and the way she moved while playing reminded me of those frame-by-frame animations. The next guest was a female vocalist. Her first two songs weren't that great, but her duet was awesome.

The guy vocalist, Sean something, was good except that he couldn't reach high or low. When he sang the Prayer with the female vocalist, I was reminded of Andrea Bocelli's and Celine Dion's duet. All they needed was to remember their lyrics and maybe a bit more training.

I slept in the car and when we reached home, I didn't bother about taking a shower. I just crashed on my bed until 10:30 this morning.

Dull

Why is everything getting blur, boring and dull?

Life is so bleak now...I am told this a stage of pessimism in my life, but I hope it'll pass soon.

The list of things that are getting boring:

  1. Food
  2. TV...don't watch as much as I used to.
  3. PS2...don't play as much I used to.
  4. Waking up in the morning
  5. Work...wait that's normal.
  6. Colors.
The weather is not helping as it is a wet season now in Malaysia.

Maybe I need to be more reckless xD Just joking anyways...
Back to my boring life.

Possibilities: Earth Shock

Possibilities is going to be a series I'm going to pluck out off my mind having to do with...well... possibilities. Alternate futures, apocalyptic theories, and ‘what ifs?’ to be exact. Please bear in mind that these are just theories. I can't guarantee that everything I write/type here will not happen. I take some facts, or theories, and 'toy' around with it.

p.s. Weijun started this conversation in school about how long do you think the Earth has left. I said a few hundred more. I supported my answer with the facts below.

This first post is entitled Earth Shock and has to do with the Apocalypse.

Fact 1: The San Andreas Fault will split. It will be one of the biggest quakes in the history of the Earth.

Fact 2: When Jesus Christ returns, the whole world will see it and it will be in the same place where he ascended (The Mount of Olives. Once known as Armageddon).

Fact 3: Global warming might flood most of the known world, but not the whole world.

Fact 4: The gap between South America and Africa is widening.

Theory:

If the San Andreas Fault cracks creating a large magnitude earthquake strong enough to ripple the Californian coastline, California might break away from the mainland. Aftershocks might cause California to crash into Japan and the mainland to split (somewhere at the Panama Canal perhaps) in half. This quake might reverse the process of the fourth fact (Above) and South America might return to Africa. North America might do the same. If this happens it will create a Pangaea and it will make Israel the center of the world.

Due to global warming, the world will be forced to move towards the mainland--closer and closer to the Middle East. The second fact states: When Jesus Christ returns, the whole world will see it and it will be in the same place where he ascended (The Mount of Olives--Once known as Armageddon).

How else can the world see Jesus descend unless all people are circulated near the place where he is to return? The Pangaea created by the global warming and the San Andreas Fault creates a 'unified' Earth. The final battle--Armageddon--will be the end of the Old Earth and the beginning of the New Heaven and Earth.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. I have tons of theories upon theories. This is the most influential to me. Revelations was the first book of the Bible that I paid attention to. I'm interested in End World Theories, but I pray that my God will be a merciful God for the Earth can't take much more.

More to come: If there was no Hitler will it be for the better? Black Skies. If Earth was a few hundred billion years old.

Chapters Complete

...One small step for man one giant leap for mankind...

This is a post on the things which I have done, the things which I might do, and the things I will be doing. No, I'm not planning to go on the moon...yet. Let's focus on the recent past, the just present, and the will-be future.

Today was a big day for me because today I sat for my Grade 8 drum exam. The examiner was great and patient. I feel I did my best for this final grade. My three songs: Fusion, Whatever Happened to Jazz, and Sampa Samba were done pretty good...almost perfect according to my teacher. For the QSK (Quick Study Piece), I was given the choice between funk and rock--I actually asked the examiner which seemed easier, but he said they were equal in level but different in genre--so I chose rock since two of my pieces are already related to funk. I think I passed on my first ear test but failed the second--c'mon I was given LATIN to play. The examiner was very good in asking the right questions...the ones I could barely answer. So 'overally' I think I did just fine...maybe might even have a merit...or a distinction xD. Thanks to everyone who prayed for me and wished me luck.

I posted lots of SAT related posts and now the tension is over. I wouldn't say I did bad, but I can't say I did good either. I scored round 1,600 points! I found out that D.E.L got round the same too. I think I did good, now it's up to HELP to see whether its good enough.

One post that I...well...posted said that I am headed to HELP to take my Foundations in Science. Well the truth is...I'm going to HELP to take my Foundations in Science xD. I chose to take the Foundation in Science for two reasons: 1) Well, the scholarship I received gave me only two choices, Foundation in Arts or Science, and 2) because Science has the wider scope.

After that, I plan to take psychology otherwise I wouldn't be in HELP...joking...HELP is awesome! I hope I don't waiver between this decision in my life as it would be a very life-changing and costly one.

Now here's a list of the things I still need to accomplish by the end of this year.

  1. Finish all my work (round 7 more books to go).
  2. Perform in Oh Holy Night Musical
  3. Plan Impact Camp: Back to Basics
  4. Help in Kairos' Awards Ceremony
Ok now its not so much anymore, but still it's alot for two more months right?

Anyways I'll post another...what other word is there beside post?...on what 2009 has been.
The regrets and accomplishments. The downfalls and the upjumps? (the very good moments). The fun times and the sad times. etc.

Probably post it before 2010.

A Say for Today

If right-handers use their left brain, doesn't it mean that left-handers are always in the right mind??
