Entropy

In a spontaneous irreversible process, the total entropy of the system and its surroundings always increases.

According to the second law of thermodynamics (above), the rate of deterioration of this planet we call Earth is increasing. It should hurt us as residents of this world that our world is already dying without our help.

We are the active ingredient that is added to this world to slow the entropy process. We are meant to be the 'outside influence' to change this entropy; not the direct opposite. Instead of making the world a better place, we are helping in the deterioration process--speeding it up in fact.

Imagine the world as a ticking clock. When the clock hits twelve, the battery runs out. We, as parts of the clock, cannot influence it into rewinding. We can't stop it from ticking either. It will continue to tick whether we like it or not. What we are doing to the clock now is the opposite of what we are meant to do--we are putting it closer to the twelve o'clock mark.
What can we do? As it was said, we can't stop it or rewind it. We can slow it down--make it 'tick' slower than before.

How? It is up to you. There are many ways to save the Earth, but the little path you take can slow the ticking.

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." (Genesis 1:26)

Are we doing our job?

The Death of a Legend

Michael Jackson
1958-2009

Michael Jackson has become a part of everyday culture. His influence does not end only in his songs but they continue in his actions. Many people may not agree that he really did those things that he got sued for, but many cannot discredit the fact that Michael Jackson is a legend.

Born into a family of Jehovah Witnesses, Michael grew up with a strict father. He became the lead of the Jackson Five, a quintet featuring four of his older brothers. Later on Michael established himself as a solo artist with the release of Of the Wall, his first attempt in going solo. It equalled success, and with the release of his most famous album Thriller, which sold more than 50 million copies, making it the top selling album in history. With it, Michael established his reputation in the music world.

Michael, aged fifty, collapsed and never recovered. The doctors ruled it as cardiac arrest, but some may blame it on the classic: drugs.

I loved Michael Jackson's songs especially when he was part of the Jackson Five. I grew up watching his music videos on national television.

Farewell Michael. May you find peace in eternity.

Blogger Buzz

Just checked out blogger buzz and found out these cool blogger facts:

Google's about to have its second tenth birthday. In late August, Blogger will officially turn 10 years old. As our birthday draws near, we thought it would be interesting to share some fun facts about Blogger:
  • Every minute of every day, 270,000 words are written on Blogger
  • Millions of people worldwide use Blogger to publish to their blog each week
  • Almost two thirds of Blogger's traffic comes from outside North America (What's the #2 country after the U.S.? Brazil, followed by Turkey, Spain, Canada, and the U.K.)
  • The most popular sport for our bloggers? Soccer (that's football to the rest of the world), more than four times larger than the #2 sport, baseball
While we're really excited about this milestone, we want the focus to be on you and the remarkable stories that you and millions of people around the world document on Blogger. After all, blogs are one of the true building blocks of the web, constantly updated not only with news and personal stories, but any kind of information you can imagine. Just this week, there's an Iranian student documenting the minute-by-minute proceedings in Iran, while a British woman is uploading nightly blog posts from her satellite phone while rowing solo from Hawaii to Australia, while an American college student is running from Amsterdam to Athens with nothing but the pack on his back. There are literally millions more.

H1N1

Why is it that Malaysia isn't so badly affected by H1N1? I got a three theories.

1.
Have you notice that the most affected of the pandemic are 1st-world countries? Well maybe it's because those countries have been 'pampered' until their immune systems could not handle the outbreak.

2.
For all those not in Malaysia, Malaysia has been suffering some sort of hot season. This hot season was such a change to the weather that alot of us got sick or built up stronger immune systems. Hence, now since the outbreak has arrived, it has not been able to spread like wildfire because we have some sort of immunity against it.

3.
Malaysia is not a clean yet not dirty country. It's good that we are clean but being abit dirty is good too. Malaysia is not dirty enough to that the bacteria could spread. But dirty enough that our immune system is just the right thing to stop this virus.

Over Committed

Feeling stressed like mad!!!

My schedule is as haywire as a tangled mass of string. It is as though that all this time I was still a little kid and now every responsibility and every commitment I've ever taken or made have come and piled into this year.

I'm okay if I get a little stressed but now it seems as though I have no time at all. I don't have time to sleep, no time to enjoy life, no time to chat with friends, no time to even read my book.

Every weekday now, I wake up at 6:30 a.m., making me quite cranky. Other than that I go home around 4-5'ish, and after that I have my other activities to do.

On Monday, I have my choir to attend. This year, the YKLS is going to have a major production and therefore a very hectic schedule.

On Tuesday, I have my drum class. This year I'm going for my second taking for the Grade 8 exam and I have a lot of pressure to pass.

On Wednesday, I go for Karate class. Now my Master wants to put in my name for a sparring competition and that means lots of practice.

Thursday and Friday are not so hectic for me, and I finally get some time to sleep.

Weekends. It's the time for most of my ministries.

Here's a list on what I do on Saturday

Practice AV (Main Sanc)
Practice Drumming (Main Sanc)
Drumming (Impact)
Impact

How about Sunday?

AV (Main Sanc)
Drumming (Main Sanc)
Bible Knowledge
Sports

I know to some it's not much, but it clashes quite often. And now with my old commitments demanding more time, I might not have the stamina left.

On top of all these, I have joined Impact's Camp Committee and a christmas production at the end of the year. I've signed up to take the SATs this year as well. I'm also being pressured to finish all my school work this year so I can start college soon.

I know I'll have to give up some things soon, and I pray that I won't disapoint anybody. Either that or I'll need to get a sound-proof room to scream my head off.

Hope I'll survive this.

SUBLUR!!

ever try to scold someone for being sooooooooo super blur? Well why don't you try calling that person: sublur. In other words...SUper BLUR. I've used it for a long time already and even forgot about it for awhile until tonight.

So have fun using it in phrases like...

"Why you so sublur?"

"Ha. Sublur person."

"Huh? Huh? Huh? That's all a sublur person says!"

"Hey! Watch it! Stop being so sublur!"

HELP--nono I don't want your help

It seems that my fate is set in stone to go to HELP for psychology...unless I change my mind on the course I'm taking.

Why??

HELP has the experience in this field. If you go to almost anyone and tell them you want to take up psychology, they will ask whether you are going to HELP.
NOTE: This is only applicable for those in Malaysia.

Another thing is that I know alot of people in HELP so I won't be a wanderer in a new land. I can always ask my friends where to go whenever I'm lost.

HELP is also convenient, it's much more closer to my home than Sunway, and much more cheaper to. It is easier for me to find transport to HELP than to Sunway. HELP will also accept me immediately not like Sunway who is asking me to take this and that.

So unless God has another plan for my life, or unless the course of my future changes, I'll be going to HELP.

Night At The Museum

yesterday was a long day.

First we went to to Mutiara Damansara, because my sister had an interview with Peter and Jane. We went to Tesco to wait for her. When she was done, we went to Help to inquire about my and my sister's future--Psychology. After Help we went to Sunway University for the very same purpose.

Then we went to 1 Utama to watch a movie! Finally after months:

Night At The Museum II
The Battle Of The Smithsonian

We bumped into Zhiling at the cinema to find out that we were watching the same movie.

The movie wasn't as funny as expected, but it was okay--quite draggy. I like the bobble-head Einsteins and the scene where the centurion runs to the white house.

After the movie we went around to the Craft Haven to buy things. Then I went to MPH. I finally bought Night Watch the first book of the Night Watch Trilogy. I have already collected the last two books but failed to find the first. Now I have the complete trilogy...yay!!

Then I was called to go to Arena to eat. On the way there I looked up to see a familiar face on the higher floor--Tian Xi. I went up stairs to find him and Ken Vyn there. It was funny cos I thought Ken Vyn was a little kid...xD

After food I went to YCA. I finally got my pay from last year...RM60. It was meant to be RM240 but I forgot to pay this months fees so yah.

Road Trip the elaboration

It has been two days since the trip but it's still fresh in my memory.

We left about 11:30 a.m. and went to Kajang to eat--what else--satay. At Restaurant Malaysia.
They had satay of all types ranging from chicken, to beef, to the weird mutton, fish, and even duck!

After that, we went in search for Selangor's coastline (I didn't know it had one). We spent a long time on the highway--maybe 4 hours? We went to Klang and detoured to the Sultan's Gallery. I need to know more about our history.

Only after 5p.m. we started to venture nearer to the coast. When we finally got there, we were shocked. The coast was not as we had expected. There was no beach where we went! What a bummer.

The last place we visited was Telok Gong for dinner. We first wanted to eat beggar's chicken but went searching in vain for it. After 1 hour of searching we to Telok Gong's Coconut Flower Restaurant--out usual place.

We came back tired...but still wanting to explore.

till then, this chapter is completed.

Road Trip

Tomorrow will come soon and so will my family trip to...nowhere. We made this random plan to go and travel Malaysia--not out station but right at our very home.

How many of you have visited your state muziums? I don't mean a company-sponsored muzium, but a state-sponsored one. It's a tradition for my family to buy t-shirts from every place we visit. The sad thing is, we don't have a Petaling Jaya shirt.

So tomorrow we plan to 'visit' Petaling Jaya. Cool right?? Well I'll post our journey when we get back.

To infinity and beyond...I had to xD

Rascal Flatts

Going crazy at home now!! Good thing my parents are coming back today...I can finally leave the house!! Since Sunday, I've only left the house for church, GDOP, and food...so boring.

Soooooo...instead of going into watching my neighbors like Shia in Disturbia, I went crazy on youtube. I first got so bored I looked up lightsaber fights on youtube and some of them are so cool and cute. Then I watched some contestants on Britain's Got Talent.

My life changed--so dramatic xD--when I remembered My Wish by Rascal Flatts, a song that I liked, and youtubed Rascal Flatts. Now after lots of listenning, I like their style. Their lyrics have meaning--my most important criteria--and their music's not bad either.

Before this I was getting dry on songs. There were no songs that could match
my style. Before I found Rascal Flatts, I went after Declan Galbriath and still before that Casting Crowns. Now I think I have found new songs to last me for awhile since Rascal Flatts have lots of
albums already.

yay!!

A Say for Today

If right-handers use their left brain, doesn't it mean that left-handers are always in the right mind??
