December Twenty-fifth

Everyday year on twenty-fifth december,
You hear a cheer you will remember.
Joyful faces will be seen all around;
Cheerful noises and happy sounds.
But how did this festival begin?
It started with a man who conquered sin.

Two thousand years ago, or more I was told,
In the time of the Romans of old.
At that time, in a town called Bethlehem,
Was born a boy who was to be the promised lamb.
Born in a manger 'cause there was no more room,
Was a humble beginning for the one who'l end doom.

This was the first Christmas,
It began with a man who came to save us.
He arrived as a humble baby boy,
The son of God, His pride and joy,
To bring salvation to the world,
For every man, woman, boy, and girl.

I wrote this poem last year, but didn't have a blog then.  It's a basic poem but I hope you enjoy it.

A Say for Today

If right-handers use their left brain, doesn't it mean that left-handers are always in the right mind??
